go look at paige versus Naomi and the matches, and her actual control of important drawing facets to an exhibition versus Naomi inring.

it is night and day, as far as how more talented of a inring talent paige is to Naomi.

I adore Naomi, but as a worker from every facet.
paige is leagues above Naomi as a worker.

plus, Naomi's window to be a diva champion closed.
as the wwe does not waste time to find out.
if you have it to warrant a title run in the diva's division.
for anyone who is a smart,...Naomi getting the strap would have been at best a transisitional move, to change the pace of aj.
with paige waiting in the wings,..it is an easy booking decision to go with paige over aj.
versus Naomi getting the title versus aj.

Naomi has no upside and no past natural feuds or legacy as a grappler.
to attach to, to warrant a title run in the divas division, to go over aj.

as aj is pretty much a female inring prodigy as a worker considering her pedigree, all around.
plus, you can not transistion from the quality of aj as a worker, to Naomi.
when, Naomi has no natural booking feuds or pedigree to latch onto, to warrant a title run.

if Naomi got the strap,...after aj.
what do you do then,.....
especially when, total divas is already in post production.
plus, no other diva naturally could be given the nod to draw and feud with Naomi, as well.

To me, this whole thing smelled of the 'E punishing AJ for CM Punk (her fiancee) leaving the way he did.

They are known for punishing people by proxy historically and I wouldn't be surprised if AJ was on her way out of the company.

That was disrespectful to have the champ of 290- something days beat the whole roster CLEAN and then have her lose to a rookie in her first match.

That was done to punish AJ, str8 up.

no, it was the accurate choice.
as aj had and rightfully dominated the divas' roster.
as an actual inring competent worker and on-screen/mic entertainer.
aj, losing the strap was no punishment,...
it was the logical booking move considering how mania was booked.
to solidly show aj as better than those divas on roster.
yet, paige was the next obvious choice to get the strap.


paige's sub win on nxt, leading to mania.
was as good as brock makes benoit pass out/unresponsive tap to the meshugganator.
as far as ferocity for the respective division.
including the innovative move and finish is concerned.

nobody on the divas roster was having matches.
where they could be compared to one of the last great televised freetv sub finish matches in wwe televised history.

gail kim, at that exact time.
including the the entire divas/women's roster, was very very green, at the time.

paige, is by far and away ahead of the same booking decision of gail kim's title change at the time.
paige as nxt champ.
puts more legitimacy in a workrate based arena than aj did, as both a entertainer/workrate champ combined.

They should have made Paige the new AJ in a way...except instead of a heel champ with various face chasers (I *think* the other divas are faces), they should have made Paige a face-champ pariah...EVERYONE should be gunning for her now. They can keep AJ as a heel as well...just one that the other girls still don't fukk with. Hell, maybe AJ turns and starts helping Paige and they form a two-women power trip...

This is all just me shootin' the shyt. I mean, they can go practically anywhere with this. I don't necessarily think it was a bad thing to take the belt from AJ...the question is, do they CARE enough about the Divas to do something with all the potential that they have created with this turn of events?

I comprehend what you're saying and I disagree. They don't need something for ALL the divas to do. They tried to turn valets into wrestlers and now it's too late. They can't go back to just being valets. I rather not see them at all. The ' E fukked up in that respect. I don't want to see men or women learning HOW to wrestle on RAW. That's what developmental is for. I don't want to see a one on one match between Cameron and Tamina or Eva Marie vs Naomi. Trash wrestlers with semi good one just for the sake of having match? Nope. Give the ones who CAN wrestle time and they can give the rest the same three minute matches or not use them at all. They won't be missed.

The mens Tag Team Championship doesn't mean shyt anymore.

The scenario you're proposing is going to take years to come to fruition. If it does at all. Number one you're expecting the company to care as much about the women's division as they do about that mens. That will never, ever happen. If that were the case half of Shimmer and Shine would be signed by now and in developmental. The Divas division is on their way to getting better. Very slowly but it's moving in that direction. Now they have Paige, Naomi, The Bella's, Summer Rae, Nattie, Emma, AJ and maybe Tamina. In the next year or so I can see Charlotte and Sasha coming up. They've got Raquel Diaz, JoJo and Shara training. I think womens wrestling in the ' E has a good future but don't expect it to ever reach the levels of the mens division because it never will.

I don't know how well the "win the title in your first match" thing works, but it's clearly someone they plan to push. It makes more sense than having her randomly debut as one in a bunch of Divas currently doing nothing. My only issue is she's starting off at the top, and in a feud going forward with the top girl they have. After this ends, what's next for her? 3-minute matches with Alicia Fox and Summer? Or will they be building someone up to challenge her after the AJ feud runs its course?

That on top of not being on the cast of Total Divas really did it to her IMO...

And I have also noticed how we don't really see AJ do any media interviews either...like she does things here and there..but other then that nada...

I'm not an AJ fan at all.

I just think you can't have a belt be worth a damn, if you let a champ hold it 300 days and then have them lose it in 2 minutes to a rookie in their first match on RAW.

If they would've let her lose it in an epic struggle then whatever, or even a roll up pin would've been better than what you saw on RAW
