Just a couple things...
One thing I never understood is when everyone talks about "Control", the narrative is always "Why didn't
Drake start a beef with Kendrick over "Control", conveniently forgetting that Drake was only the 7th name on a list of 11 rappers, 2 of which included that guys on the song with him (Big Sean & Jay Electronica).
People glossed over the "Your man's wack. Don't make me crumble his whole shyt" shot from Jay Elec on Twitter to dude from TDE.
J.Cole was the first person named on "Control" (government name and all) and he addressed the song directly on the TKO Remix. No one seemed to care.
No one calls for Kendrick vs. Cole. Everyone wants a collab project instead.
Meek, K.R.I.T. responded. Pusha was mentioned and is considered to be lyrically on Kendrick's level. No campaigning.
Just seems like people only see a beef as meaningful if Drake is in it, which kind of makes you wonder. So many claim to "hate" the guy but only get excited if he's involved. It's like, "You're disqualified from being at the top of hip hop or relevant in a conversation about the greats, but everyone wants him to be "knocked off". Seems contradictory.
Kendrick would absolutely annihilate Drake, his ghostwriters, and crush the OVO tents. And Drake knows this.
Kendrick is beyond dope. Amazing artist, great music. One of the best of the next-gen. I'm a fan...
...that being said, what makes people feel so certain that he'd "annihilate" Drake?
What trump card does Kendrick have that would "end" Drake and most importantly who has Kendrick ever battled and destroyed?
Where are the bodies?
