Pretty much been said -- they fukked their own shyt off by beefing & blackballing themselves into a corner.
But comparing them with Trinidad James is kinda a joke tho, Trinidad's shyt is a funny catchy gimmick with viral videos. They are on more some "very serious street rap" in the vein of a Scarface or Z-Ro or Yo Gotti. That's not gonna blow up in the same way as a Trinidad James, -- their lane is more of a slow build, & well respected co-signs (which they pretty much fukked off).
They coulda loosed up more tho -- maybe that'd help. I actually did hear a Trouble song recently that was actually humorous while still real as fukk. They can actually make decently bytch-friendly tracks too.
& I'm pretty sure by now that that was actually Trouble singing all them uncredited hooks on his mixtapes. I actually think they could still blow up with the right BIG UNDENIABLE ANTHEM breaking them thru.
Or turning the focus up a gang of notches on the bytch-Friendly-ness, & generally look less bitter over bigger tracks, & network harder with whoever they havent tried to flex on.

Pretty much... The new radio station 94.5 plays damn near every underground local joka with a hot song and I have yet to hear anyone from DTE on that hoe. I be all over Atlanta and I have NEVER even seen anyone from DTE or openly claim it, not saying they aren't in the streets or nothing. I seen a junkie in the 6 with a faded ass Duct Tape shirt on once.
I hate to come off as a stan but that nikka Scoota got the new Bentley Mulsanne and he hopped out that bytch iced the fukk out, I guess being So Icey pays off

Alley's nikkanati and Gift of Discernment are bangers. Songs such as All My Life(which sounds like Future's Walk on the Moon) could have been a hit off there as well as Tattoo but oh well, He's dope to me still.
I wouldn't say its a failure yet because he hasn't dropped a album but one reason he aint on the mainstream level possibly because Trinidad and Chief Keef are nothing but non threatening side show nikkas that white folks and Industry nikkas feel comfortable being around.
Duct Tape on the hand is too scary for CACs and puss nikkas to really identify. Alley Boy also isn't your typical southern c00n rapper. The dude be saying alot of real shyt in his records. Listen to the nikkanati Intro, You think they gonna really try and push a dude speaking on shyt like that?

They got hot for a second cuz they wuz a breath of fresh air when the game wuz at its softest,and nikkas wuz scared to speak they mind about other rappers or the game in general.....but after so many disses and bullshyt beef u could tell it wuz just they gimmick to get attention and became corny....added to the fact they didn't really have smashes or were they great rappers,they kinda got in by default.....GBE pretty much made them irrelevant I would say,better music,music just as hard if not harder,better rappers,less corny bullshyt antics people can see right through
