I always imagine how different the situation of Kevin calling his mother a dummy would have gone, had Kevin been black.
I also don't understand why he was so afraid of the cops. He probably grew up hearing cops call his father, "Sir". If you know your house is going to be robbed by bandits that hit the entire block, why not have the cops park unmarked cars around the corner, and waiting inside?
I also die when Uncle Frank says, "If it makes you feel any better, I forgot my reading glasses" when Kate realizes they left Kevin at home.
