Psychologically you can never see a past generation looking young as you feel and look.
You only associate certain faces with being old, so when u see old pictures of them even when they're young... they still look old.
Just like as we age, even tho we get older we still look in the mirror and people of our generation as looking "young" and we look at everyone younger than us as looking like kids even tho they in they 20's.
It's just a generational thing.
I'm 30 and my young i has see me as sooooo old, but my OGs see me as wild young. It's a mental thing.

They started drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes when they were real young 
Actually I think the current youth of today looks a lot older than they should. I see 5 and 6 year with pot bellys and 20 year old with deep forehead lines.
There been studies that lead was the cause for most of the hypermasculine behavior and dudes fighting constantly. Back then, by age 13, you had a part time job, you were fighting for your life, and nothing was handed to you. You were classified as a grownup by your family and you were outdoors often.
Today, there are 20 somethings that never had a job
