Only time people are critical of it is when the fight is pretty much over which is fair enough. You can't expect civilised people to agree with punting a defeated opponent in the head.

shyt I came moments from stomping a Eurocacs head in when I did club security because he spit on me. If I hadn't stoped and thought about repercussions after I got him to the ground all I instinctively wanted to do was stomp on his head, and frankly if it was an alley I'd got him in as opposed to a busy street corner I would have given him brain damage if not killed him.
