Musically he's fallen off now. But that wasn't the reason he lost steam. Ross has lost steam because the music isn't at that level. If he could put out another couple athems - another DTR/RF/TD album he could go gold.

50's decline has other issues.

nah, I truly believe that EVERYONE falls off eventually, because the public just stops being impressed with there image. The only way you can stay relevant is to change it up without looking like a try hard, or do collabs at the right time with up and comers.(Think of that T.I song with Iggy Azalea, it serves a purpose of keeping him relevant)

Even outside of rap this is true, people like Lady Gaga are falling off because she's just not seen as interesting/wild as she once was.

Music's Winners & Losers of 2014

Loser: 50 Cent
The rapper's ironically titled fifth album, 'Animal Ambition: An Untamed Desire to Win,' sold just 37K copies in its first week. That's a big drop not only from his smash early albums, but even from his previous studio album, 'Before I Self-Destruct' (which sold 160K in its first week).:mjlol:

If you cant make good music. . And your stunts grow stale. Then 37k in your first week happens. All the Fiddy stans were :cape:so hard for dude and his antics. The pitch at the Mets stadium. Hilariously bad. . Then the spin. . It was on purpose. .Now people are talking about him. I said it then and I will say it now. You dont need stunts if you have good music.

I got the impression that 50 was always selling snake oil. Like most shysters he got away with it for a while. But the jig is up. I aint even hating. He got rich despite having nominal talent.

the problem i think is that 50 never truly had fans that liked him and only jumped on him for mass appeal, if kanye was to stop making music and come back he would still have a really solid and big fan base

me and my boys would kill to go back to the "g-unit summer" days homeboy...he was the soundtrack to my smoke filled youth...i was and will always be a fan of "that" fifty...

it's called POSITIONING yourself. the goal right now is to make him a household name again, so he can position himself for his album to be a success. People can talk all teh chit they want, but they're still talking about him, which is what he wants. A few years ago there wasn't near the amount of threads, and talk about 50 in the community as there is now. The only time you really heard about him was in regards to boxing.

That's the music business. No one stays hot forever:manny:. Only a select few artists have super long careers.Still don't take away what he accomplished.

At the end of the day he isn't that good a rapper and he got feminine ways
Alienated himself and his click from damn near everybody in the game
Oh and the "career destroyer" thing proved to be bullshyt too

the internet
this is a long ass thread to say:

Nobody stays hot.

Whose still around from the days of GRODT?

Kanye, Jay, Eminem....and?
Not that many more.

Music is a youth game for the most part.
50's fans are all grown...once you get into your 30's you dont have time to keep up w/ the new shyt.
Most cats in their 30's are probably still listening to 50's older shyt.

Think about it...cats that are 16 - 25 were babies when GRODT came out...they can barely remember that time...let alone remember what it felt like.

he dissed one or multiple of most peoples favorite boyhood idol rappers. that is why most dont fukk with him. its certainly not the quality of music, cause that hasnt diminished.

also, 2014 rap fan enjoys fukkboy trash like Wayne, Drake, etc. and if you dont trend hop towards the garbage like that (Jay-Z, TI), then you dont stay relevant/popular.
TI followed garbage trends? No Mediocre is your only valid point but it's not like TIP needed that hit or song , Trouble Man did well

Dunno why people claiming he a bully. Ross, Jada, Joe etc dissed him first (Joe dissed Buck but whatever). Responding is bullying?
.

How did he murder NY hip hop? By replying to disses from other nikkas? How did history get twisted like this. Jada etc all dissed 50 first. was he not meant to reply just because Jada from NY too? Jada in my top 5 too, 50 ain't but we can't act like 50 was just gonna sit there and let all them pop shots at him and not do nothing.

uhhh jada & fat joe went on a song with a ja rule called new york, ja rule took shots at 50, joe & jada said nothing about him, then 50 cent drop piggy bank going at all of them so 50 did take shots 1st. he also took shots at Lil Kim,Shyne,Diddy(funny those are all former bad boy artist) 1st

And lets not forget
