Was a 6'9 190lb junior playing for Utah only shot 32 percent on college three's
actual in game buckets matter moreFrom all accounts he was killing it from 3s in the combine
I didn't say his shooting mechanics weren't there
He was a streaky shooter coming out of college. That's a fact and it still shows in the pros now. I don't get the point of your reply
Didnt he basically admit he didnt figure it out until he got to the nba lol?I don't get it.
Great size and length
Underrated athlete
Solid defender
Elite shooting skills
Dude isn't some one dimensional shooter either..he puts the ball on the floor and scores from midrange and even slashes to the rack.
How did he fall to 27th?
I get that the draft had a lot of young talent....I get that he's "old" at 22 coming in and therefore lacks the precious upside that these scouts look for. But these execs had to have known that his game would translate beautifully in today's Nba and still allowed him to plumit
He played at Utah. /close thread
crazy how utah has had 3 straight first rounders, wright, poetl and kuzma and all are serviceable nba players
I was going to say fukk his shooting, his touch near the basket is fukking incredible for a rookie. He doesn't miss near the basket.People keep referencing his shooting, but he’s way more then a shooter. He scores in a variety of ways and is a playmaker. AND he is a decent positional defender already that competes on that end.
It seems teams just didn’t check for him like that because he never was ranked highly on the grassroots level and played for Utah.
