Why did Styles P Voice Get Lighter?

SP's voice peaked around '96-'97, but it was still dope when he was doing his classic mixtape run around the mid 00's too.

I noticed his flow and voice changed crazy, a minute ago. That's my dude, but it definitely makes the music sound a little different from his best sh*t back in the day. I liked his original flow a lot better. That sh*t was flawless. Kiss changed his up too.

I always loved those old LOX mixtapes from '96-'97 because that's when I first heard them. Around the "Well, Well, Well" days. That's when I felt they really had their own sound and lane. But SP was untouchable up until like '05, like you said.

Also it's not a bad thing but I think his voice sounds more youthful and high spirited which is probably from his complete change in diet

He does sound more youthful, problem is it’s nowhere near as good as his voice from the early-mid 2000’s. Maybe is from his changing his diet & lifestyle

He literally had one of the most charismatically ignorant voices/deliveries in rap history lol. Styles used to sound like a MENACE

Guys like ghostface and Kiss, their voices are just shot. That’s just all age, and years of smoking and drinking

I point them out because others like X or Sigel were because of reasons we're well aware of (drugs and health issues/being shot). With Styles and Redman, there's really no smoking gun to why they fell off voice wise.

Styles himself said it was the juices and stopping smoking. He tried vaping but he barely even smokes the herb now. Sauce is trust me breh, I know nikkas on that team but i aint one to bullshyt and had same questjons as you and op. Juices for life if you ever in BX breh. You can even catch him and kiss there on the right days. I saw kiss there once and looked round like I was on Impractical jokers. Didn't approach him but wanted to dap him up and wish him luck ahead of the dipset versus. Nikka didn't need my luck it turns out lol

Edit and to add they all have a different engineer team. They used to use swizz team. They then were using Apex (I think) who made the I get money beat for 50 (the nikka apex is a sound engineer who produced one smash hit) and now they onto Journey and them from Roc nation, whoever kiss is plugged into is doing the whole team (I think, can find out)
