No one thinks all non-ados act a certain way. However this is not about INDIVIDUALS, white supremacy is global; it provades through our cultures and effects the black/African psyche globally. This is why Cornel West says he has white supremacy inside of him, this is why ados people talk about woke and conscious because it requires proactive thinking and choices, that those of us who live in white majority nation's have to consider on a daily basis.
Fanon and other non-ados understood the c00n mindset that were part of their colonized cultures, but many African and Caribbeans still have false consciousness-- which is a problem, especially when they get here and try to navigate; thinking they have an agency outside of what black America has created for them. Something that can't get snatched away like what Trump is doing now.
However, I can't be concerned about their small numbers when we got homegrown prominent ados c00ns out here saying they don't want or think we need reperations. So getting black immigrants on code is really a lesser issue that Tariq is blowing out of proportion. I get why Tone and Yvette needed to dispel empty pan-african rhetoric along with exposing the money over everything venality of some black immigrants, but even that rhetoric along with the data should have been tempered more; even to gain more allies and sympathetic Pan-africans.
Still, I'm not here for folks who used to love Tariq until now, and we're cool with his generalities and lack of nuance when it came to other groups like Latinos. It's selective outrage.. and yes he's right, there is an emerging boule like immigrant c00n class in the making trying to create a lane for themselves at all costs and without care for the rest of black America and there's many of y'all on here who cosign this, are ambivalent to it, or try to pretend like every black immigrant is a humble cab driver keeping his head down and sending all his money back home.
