I never really cared for the gameboy and never bought the Lynx and honestly can vaguely if at all remember it being in Toys R Us...but it was legit way more powerful than anything the gameboy could do

I think I got a Sega game gear once as a consolation for the 3do being way out of my mom's price range...Yet nintendo beat the shyt out of that too...I even remember they had a portable Genesis that you could put the cartridges in around the time may Playstation was already out?

"I don't think [Atari] really could have done anything, really," says Origin Lead Writer Craig Harris, former editor of IGN Pocket. "We can play armchair quarterback and play the 'better games and cheaper price' retrospective game, but Nintendo was king of the gaming mountain back then and hit it big with an inexpensive system that offered Nintendo games in black and white. Oh, and Tetris."
When it came to arcade conversions like Double Dragon, Rampart, Rygar, and S.T.U.N. Runner, Lynx was untouchable in the portable space. But was that what consumers really wanted in a handheld system?

This is a testament that the most powerful hardware doesn't always win. Yet idiots want Nintendo to make a Playstation 4-level console. It's not necessary. It's all about the games.

Too Powerful for Its Own Good, Atari's Lynx Remains a Favorite 25 Years Later

Let's use some common sense here and examine two words during that time .

Atari
Nintendo.

What were people more likely to gravitate to?
:ohhh:

Atari didn't make it easier on themselves with that trash system
