If Hogan jobbed to Rock, why couldn't Austin/Hogan agree to a finish?

It worked out better anyway because the Rock/Hogan match is timeless

The real answer is that Cokeboy wasn't goin to let them generate any real momentum since they almost put him out of business

I don't think the finish was the dispute. I think Austin just didn't want to work with Hogan since Hogan almost killed his career in WCW. Austin was a rising star in WCW before Hogan and his cronies came through. Even as a kid, I knew something was off when Hacksaw Jim Duggan debuted in WCW beating Stunning Steve like it was nothing. Austin has been known for not wanting to work with guys. Other examples include Jeff Jarrett and Brock Lesnar.

Austin didn't have a problem working with brock though. The problem was they wanted brock to go over in a king of the ring qualifying match on raw with no buildup to the match. Both of them have said this was a stupid idea.

Edit: Brock even said in his book that he totally understood why Austin was mad and walked out since that's bad business.

Austin/Hogan would have been just as lit as Hogan/Rock. Don't fool yourselves into thinking otherwise.

Prob is, Austin was just being a bytch during that time. He had personal problems going on and obv his frustration with creative was reaching a boiling point.

Didn't Jericho say in his 2nd book that there were people wanting Nash to win the belt vs Y2J and go on to face Trips at Mania that year. Main events would've been Big Kev vs Hunter, Hoegan vs Rocky and Hall vs Austin.
