In that time span WCW couldnt come up with better ideas to boost ratings...No Loser gets fired match or some shyt :what: ... its easy to tell why WCW failed
shyt was money, nikkas got greedy, and they were too stupid to handle success. Staying in their lane is why they lasted for as long as they did, but the lure of a moneymaker is what kills most businesses when you can't follow up with something else.

Bret Hart was supposed to be that next thing, but then WCW did WCW things :manny:

actually i always thought of the nWo like "nothing lasts forever"

"what goes up, must come down"

there was no way for them to be able to do anything better than the nWo storyline although i was a fan of the "New Blood" stable :yeshrug:

Hogan creative control + Bischoff having no other ideas. It should have ended at starrcade 97.

I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
They obviously had no long term plan on how to end it. The seeds for the end should have been planted before Starrcade 97. I think what happened was they were riding so high with the success that the group brought, that when it came down to crunch time, nobody knew what the fukk to do. And quite frankly, when you think about it, how many times did Nitro end with the nwo reigning supreme over Luger, Giant, DDP, etc.? Quite a lot. Sure, every now and then, WCW wrestlers would end the show or PPV on top (usually when Sting was involved), but it was a rarity, and thus, the fans started to cheer for the nWo over (most of) WCW.
So, then, what happens? They break into two factions and Luger, Giant, and Sting (:mindblown:) actually ended joining up one faction or the other when none of them had any rhyme or reason to do so. Then, they reformed into mostly one group. I was so, so relived that I tuned into RAW to watch Foley win the title instead. There should been no nWo in 1999. Instead, you had them burying the Horseman, at the beginning, and Goldberg, at the end of 99 and early 2000 before quietly disbanding. So, there really was never any pay off ever.

Bischoff only knows how to build heel stables.

He has no clue on how to properly build a pure babyface.

NWO shouldn't have ever ended, they could have been just like the horsemen if they just kept it to five members. There were so many ways they could have went even after Hogan lost to Sting (they fukked that up also, Sting should won that match 1-2-3 with no bullshyt), they could have went away for a while, stayed on tv and just "regrouped" with Hogan, Nash and Hall cutting a lot of that dead weight and "getting back to business" , there were a lot of possibilities with NWO they just fukked it up.
