Yes, not being around hurts you, but what hurts more is his APPEAL.

TIP can still make some of the hardest music out, but if that appeal is diminished cause he's getting in fights with Floyd and playing the Cosby's on sunday nights, that appeal greatly diminishes and hurts his brand.

There being poor people in Australia, and it being a 3rd World Country are too vastly different things. You know how income disparity works, right? The distance between the poor and the rich is not as vast as it is in the US. So its not as difficult to move from being in a really bad place to a really good place as it is in America.
She's also a White rapper, its already obvious how much America loves White rappers. She didn't have to make it sound like it was a choice between trapping and rapping, or anything like that. She immigrated to America with star dreams and as a White girl rapper, success wasn't that far away.
