Just started in one of Netflix' most popular movies, one which already has a sequel hot on the heels of its release. Where's the fall off?

After Earth (2013) - flop
Winter's Tale (2014) - flop
Focus (2015) - flop
Concussion (2015) - flop
Suicide Squad (2016) - not flop
Collateral Beauty (2016) - flop
Bright (2017) - not flop(good in terms of streams)

Nikka, ur high.

Outside of Dicaprio, Hanks, Washington and Depp(And that's debatable) there's no one out there who a studio might orgasm over more to headline a movie. Not the Rock, Hart, Ryan Reynolds, Brad Pitt, etc.

No one.

He didn't fall off, he decided to try n position his kids to pop next.

General audiences don't like nepotism, especially black weirdo nepotism.

But best believe, Will himself is loved like few others worldwide.
I'd put money down that he could walk into Sony offices today, with an idea for Hancock 2 and it'd be out by 2020.
Or anything.

If he made a romantic comedy with lets say Nia Long, i'd wager it'd be the highest grossing romcom of the past 4 years.
The only one he ever did is the third highest grossing romcom ever already.

He hasn't fallen off. He took a step back.

Will Smith has already proven to be one of the biggest box office draws in Hollywood, it's just now at this point in his career, he's just working on the projects he feels like as opposed to the largest paycheck.

Will Smith makes millions from "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" syndication. He's also one of the highest paid actors... still. Netflix paid $90 million for "Bright".

I think he's just selective and does what he wants now. He doesn't have to take roles. He turned down Neo in the Matrix and "Django Unchained".
