Haven't watched TV stuff since Mania. The Becky and Kofi builds were the only decent angles they had and they both paid off at the big show so I checked out for a bit feeling good, but knowing they couldn't keep it up. Think I've missed a few PPVs too.. feels really flat at the moment.

Tbh the product was flat as hell 2 months before Mania, but Becky managed to build some buzz for herself and Kofi had a "right place, right time" moment with the audience that made for an obvious draw... the booking and writing has been largely trash for a good while now.

NXT still manage to put out decent PPVs, but I can't be fukked to keep up with TV.

I do this with wrestling though, I'll be back when something grabs me and then I'll be stuck for too long as it gets shyt again.

Outside of the Kofi buildup to winning the WWE Championship the majority of shyt they did was fukking terrible. Featuring Dolph Ziggler and Baron Corbin as title challengers since Wrestlemania but you wanna say this is their best year of the past decade.

The summer of The Usos and The New Day was better. The initial Shield versus The Wyatts build up and match was better. Roman's feud with Braun was better. Kofi's win at Mania is keeping 2019 from being a WOAT year for WWE. I despise seeing what tag team wrestling has become in 2019 as well.

Your standards must be extremely low if you think this is their best year.

that's not what I said.

I said this has prolly been the best year for them in over a decade.
you can argue a lot longer than that, if we're counting the shows on the network, but I think most people don't do that when they criticize the WWE.

last memorable year for the WWE was prolly 2006, and even that was hit-or-miss.
I may be missing something, because I tuned out for years up until they signed so many stars from other promotions that I had to tune back in regularly.

I think while it seems like a sudden fan revolt but it actually has been a real slow burn. It's like a tire with a slow leak and you ignore your tire pressure monitor in your car until one morning you notice it's flat.

especially with this being a hip-hop board; I find it odd that so many people are jumping ship right after they finally get that black WWE champion that people have been supposedly clamoring for all these years.

im asking for years. not just summers or small stretches.

everytime I snuck in and checked out the wyatts, they were wack in the ring.
not trying to watch braun stroman wrestle roman reigns either.

this is the most ive seen the WWE do with their tag team division since 2000.

also, when we talk years, are we not including NXT, UK, 205 Live?

NJPW isn't as accessible as WWE in the US like AEW will be.

outside of the Hogan era, TNA has usually been a better product.
