I use Yelp all the time. Never knew it used to be popular in the past nor did I know it fell off.

The reviews are helpful, but I like looking at food photos to make a decision if I should patronize a business or not.

Google is straight as well.

I think yelp reviewers generally are tougher critics than google reviews when I use them both for the same places. I like yelp because it organizes pictures and reviews better. They've also branched out to reviews for basically anything and you can request quotes on there which I find helpful

I only use it when I want to see the inside of the restaurant.. I guess the ambiance is what I’m looking for.. for those times I want to take my lady some nice to eat

I still use Yelp for more reliable reviews when deciding which restaurants to eat at. Google review is for casuals, Yelp is for snobs, so if a restaurant has atleast a 4 star Yelp it’s atleast worth a try. A restaurant can have 4.5 stars on google and still be trash.

A while back I went to look at reviews on Yelp on my phone.
And it let me view a handful of reviews or pictures, then insisted that I download the app in order to see more.

So that turned me off to that bullshyt. Anything that requires me to download the app for full access gets tossed in the bushes for me.
