Both religions predicate themselves on being historically accurate.........but they're not. Once I did my research and discovered there was a lack of evidence for a lot of things claimed by them I dropped it.

Studying psychology, the history of the world religions and science simply put the final nail in the coffin for religion in my life.

With that being said I consider myself a Buddhist atheist/agnostic. Eastern philosophy in general is far more superior than the popular Abrahamic faiths (because it deals with the human mind and not supernatural sci fi stuff) and would be more beneficial to mankind if more people looked into it.
What was it you studying history of Christianity and Psychology took the cake for you? I have done some similar background research on Abrahamic faiths and know how some people are inclined to become jaded into religion. In many instances, religion spreads because of a repititive pattern of hysteria .Many people are predisposed to have a dependent mind and have a herd mentality.I have no problem with people becoming irreligious but it looks some people are not looking before you leap,it has to be life changing to do something like that.

Because i hate organized religion, period.

I went to the Miami Gardens Church of Christ for over 2 fukkin' years. I never wanted to be there. Didn't make a single friend. Not one.

LOL my family went to that church too lol.

.

The life changing part consisted of me becoming aware of the thousands of beliefs that existed before mine, taking a long hard look in the mirror and then deciding that I no longer wanted to be a hypocrite believing that I'm right and everyone else is wrong and will go to hell.

The very idea that someone else is going to hell for eternity for simply having a different philosophy/opinion than yours is extremely childish and very narcissistic when you really sit down and think about it.

he was influenced by Christianity.

my bm is from St. Ann’s Bay and is related to him....... and they are Rastafarian.... it's like some weird combo of Christianity and pan african ism and other random shyt.

I don't need educating on the prophet :comeon:

Since the days of Sam Sharp black empowerment has been centered around the church, that was the only form of organization Europeans allowed us to have. Good or bad, organized religion produced many a panfricanist.
