2013, I got banned from LSA for basically arguing with fonts after calling it the Lonely Sista Association. Googled to see if there was any haters of the forum and found the coli. I’ve been here off and on every since. Sad, lol.
Honestly I don't remember exactly. I think I came across SOHH sometime in the early/mid 2000s when I was in high school.
At some point after that it just became a habit to check regularly along with a few other message boards.

To have sane and interesting conversation on a range of issues with other black people, i like the idea of a primarily black forum where we can all discuss be it gaming, tv, politics etc. That was the primary draw in terms of interest.
2004 SOHH. My friend was on it first to download music and just lurk, and I picked it up and just loved the humor. I signed up after the dipset wars and “yauze” lost. Moved to the Coli the first few days it started up after 2012

Landed here by chance when I googled something back in like 2015 and when I browsed through the site it reminded me of 360waves.net. I used to live on 360 when I was a teenager. And this seems like the closest thing to it. Just needs a shout box

I saw an ad for SOHH when I was reading The Source one day.
There was a 2 hour break between my classes at the time, and I was usually in my school’s computer lab
to kill time, so I just visited the site one day to lurk.
Im pretty sure my first post was about Kiss The Game Goodbye (which had recently been released, and I
was still bumpin’) somebody said it was wack, and I joined just to dispute/review that. There was nobody
I could talk about stuff like that with in Real Life; Time and Life had split up my Eclectic Hip-Hip Cypher
and I was stuck around people who only liked Em, Pimp Juice, and us (*throws up Da Roc*) …or Tech N9ne.
I stayed to be a Soldier in the Coast Wars against Quez, Deeyo an’em. Lol
