Sounds like a darkchild type beat back then..the american audience didnt equate this with whatever genre y'all had popping over there. Don't know how his career went in the uk, but over here, by the time he dropped his second album, dude just couldn't compete with usher, Donnell jones, timberlake, maxwell, etc

he was huge outside of the states beforehand, I thought he was going to be a lock to do #'s here
