according to whom?

eminem never made a notable diss track, and he lost to jarule.

eminem's realm is the cypher. a place he hasnt been in over 15 years.

According to whom? Eminem's style is based on battling. Songs like "Til I Collapse", "Lose Yourself", "8 Mile Road", "Rabbit Run" are evidence of that. Anybody familiar with Eminem knows he's capable of battling on wax and in cyphers.

The disses to Benzino were notable. Were they "Ether", "Takeover", "Hit Em Up", "No Vaseline", "Against All Odds" notable? No, but few disses are.

Because if it even was really a diss it was extra, extra, extra subliminal from a nikka who has never and will never be given respect as a lyricist.

Not to mention some people said the Pinocho reference from forever was addressing it.

You my dawg... Don't make me neg you.. It will hurt my heart like when Nino had to take out G Money...

:whoa:

CMB...we all we got :damn:

But you know got damn well nobody ranks him as a lyricist. Not saying that everybody thinks he's garbage but that just ain't his lane.

I mean look at this thread. You got more people discussing the prospect of Gucci Mane possibly murdering Eminem () physically than discussing his ability to rap. He's more known for being an accident murderer than he is for bars.

and what has it gotten him aside from a lost to jarule?

It's not about what it's gotten him. It's about the context of the thread. Eminem is still far more revered as a battle rapper than Gucci Mane. He has songs that prove he could hold his own in a battle. His technical skill as an MC is what gets him his props within Hip Hop. Even the biggest Eminem detractors who detest his music wouldn't deny that. Gucci on the other hand is a rapper who's not really considered an MC in that regard. He makes music that isn't necessarily going to be dissected for metaphors, word play, punchlines, and rhyme schemes. Gucci's music is more so for the ride, the club, and social outings.

That's not to say that Eminem is somehow exempt from battling Gucci because Gucci's beneath his skillset. It's to say that Eminem and Gucci appeal to different people within Hip Hop. I'm not talking about white vs. black people either. I'm talking Hip Hop fans who have/do listen to both.

skillset doesnt mean chit if you have trouble making tracks.

if they were gonna battle, it would be on wax. not on stage.

Eminem's cac fans would come to the rescue talking about how there's nobody like Eminem and he's the greatest most skilled rapper of all-time and that Gucci Mane is the worst rapper ever and nobody can ever understand him
