How about ... New York is supporting the A$AP Mob, French Montana in 2013, and a very similar, south-inspired artist in Mims was already out there in 2007

We're past the point of Dipset, Nas blowing up ... New York, in the mainstream, is losing its sound and it was hurting bad a few years ago when they had a guy who could have been a star in Mims.
