Why do adults lie to kids/teenagers that there’s such thing as the “real world” and that it gets better after high school.

Mad nikkas changed schools because of bullying :stopitslime:

The bullying in adulthood is just more subtle but a lot more hurtful overall

Because they gonna play with your pockets :whew:

Corporate America is just high school with money Brodie :russ:

The popular kids get to work on all the cool shyt get the easy jobs etc.

While the nerdy / un popular pushover dudes actually got to earn their keep and are the first to get fired :damn::mjcry:
Good for them

I got in a couple fights but never bullied

But If I wanted to move I was out of luck

Now that I think about high school really influenced how we move in the real world.

That high school dynamic never goes away.

Even on here where posters make fun of people for peaking on high school be having mean girls tactics like neg and rep. And make fun of you for a recent join date (freshman friday ass nikkas).

nikkas on thecoli 40+ forming cliques on an anonymous Internet forum. Stop lying to this kids mane “the real world” doesn’t exist :francis:
Don’t we normally say the “real world” is harder and to enjoy high school and college because it’s generally the easiest and most fun time you’ll have. That’s what I tell my children. And I tell them if you want to be able to enjoy life as an adult there’s a level of work you’re going to have to put in to be successful. Otherwise life will be stress and bills.

I’m also convinced forums draw in a certain demographic of slightly socially awkward people. So there’s that. No one uses forums anymore in 2022.
Is Reddit not a forum? It’s also a company with a $6 billion valuation.
