Basically, the only ones who opinions really matter anywayExactly. I wouldn't call cacs who never played the game "experts". The only "experts" are the former players and coaches.

I disagree, but it is what it is. LeBron just does more on the floor than Kobe. It's almost like the line "Wilt could be Russell, Russell could never be Wilt" to me, the average NBA player believes in a role where his offense is maximized and emphasized is more like what we've seen from Kobe than what we've seen from LeBron, which is why they could often relate to Kobe and pick him over LeBron.
As far as better things on the floor, LeBron shot better from 3 than Kobe - career 34 percent to Kobe's 32 percent. LeBron has 7 seasons shooting over 50 percent from the floor and all 7 seasons he averaged close to 7 assist in all of them AND 36 percent from 3 in four of them. He's one of the few players in the league that could thrive as both the roll man and ball-handler in the pick and roll, his size allowed him to play all five positions and defend multiple positions, including some defense at the rim.
Kobe and LeBron were both great defenders. This is why we can't always play the eye test. Kobe was not a good defender after 2008, yet still received awards for his defense. A ton of players in the league have reptuations for being good defenders and it's just not there. Both are top 15 players all-time, but LeBron just does more on the floor and does it more efficiently
Kobe is a pure scorer. Of course he's harder to guard in that sense. LeBron is basically a PG in terms of how he plays. When's the last time anyone talked about a PG/distributer being one of the hardest to guard. For a defender you're way more concerned with a guy looking to score than a guy looking to pass. All I know is that Kobe has been on plenty of non contending teams. LeBron hasn't been on one since his first few years in the leagueYou got guys like Ron Artest, Jared Dudley, and Tayshaun Prince telling you Kobe is way harder to guard than LeBron. You got guys like Tony Allen (arguably the best perimeter defender of this era) saying Kobe is the GOAT in his eyes.
Its more than guys just liking his game. The best defenders ALL say Kobe is tougher to guard than LeBron.
But go ahead and keep discounting the opinions of the guys who are actually playing against these guys in favor of some cac like Nick Wright that probably never played a sport in their lives.
did i say he was?so is shawn kemp better than tim Duncan?
if people stay true to this idea, then its gonna open up a can of worms.
I have days worth of examples.
i agree with all this, but Lebron wasn't faster or more athletic than Jordan. And physically Kobe could finish just about as good as lebron at the rim.
LeBron never even won a dunk contest![]()

Don't know but it's dumb. LeBron has never had the years of irrelvance during his prime that Kobe did. Their love for Kobe is irrational

Someone neg this fool above me. This is some of the most pitiful shyt I've seen. Kobe stans now resorting to claiming that Phil would have to bench Shaq in crunch time and wasn't a skilled player.

Because he played in a sh*t conference and still couldn't make the finals without forming Voltron with Wade. Kobe has been to more finals than Lebron coming out of the West![]()

Shaq's free throws were a major liability, no lies were told, never heard of "hack a shaq"?![]()
