Why do Anime elitist constantly pretend like Drgaon ball Z isn’t the goat Anime

DBZ is like a baby’s first anime so a lot of people put in it on a pedestal of nostalgia even though there are plenty of better anime.

It’s not and saying it isn’t about elitism.

DBZ is special to a lot of us because it was entry point for many and was part of our childhood. The nostalgia with the franchise runs deep. But truthfully, the pace was awful, there are staring contests that last like 5 minutes, and the arcs and villains were the most simple and basic you can get from a narrative standpoint. Also, they constantly recycled animation sequences.
