Why do barbershops have "control your kids" signs ?

And the lil bad muhfukkas still running around giving no fukks. I'm sitting here watching some little boy play hopscotch on the black and white tile while he got a chicken bone in his hand.

I keep looking at him then looking at his mom like get your youth woman

Barbers just looking like they don't want to say anything. I should go rip that sign off the wall. on the window and walk out

Regular black barber shop it's Friday though its a bunch of kids in here. They even got the TV on cartoon network.

I think those signs are only there for tradition. Somebody back the early 1900s must have had one with copycats following suit.
I have never seen this enforced.
