Why do Bay Area rappers rap kinda weird?

@3:00 mark, explain this Bay Area dude then. All that wierd shyt is everywhere, Danny Brown, Young Thug and his gay shyt, Busta Rhymes when he dressed in neon and fukked with the pitch levels in his music, it's what the artist thinks is "cool" to them I guess.
Lived in the bay area my entire life and I couldn't ever figure out the rabid fan base Mac dre ever had 
Maybe because I was listening to a lot of shyt from diff cities growing up and my standards for quality rap were diff from a kid who only listened to bay area stuff . By the time I listened to Mac dre consistently enough around age 13/14 I was like

Breh, Hyphy wasn't even around that long....its been gone for like 6-7 years .. y'all make that shyt seem like it was the only thing coming out of the Bay, and lasted for like 10 damn years.

Ya Boy was dope. I think he was Phat Rats nephew or something. Was talking bout him in another thread. I just can't fukk with e-40 etc. I guess it a regional thing. I respect the fact he been around for so long and don't hate he gettin money tho, I just don't fukk with most music I hear from the bay.
