Let me say first and foremost I love my Eastcoast Coli brehs. That said i can't fukkin stand how snobbish black folks from the Eastcoast be actin....

Whenever my cousins from Harlem come down south for family reunions all they do is complain about how "country" everything is. Makes me want to throat punch the shyt out of them.


This one cat I know from my Air Force base down here got stationed in D.C/ Maryland a few years ago. I finally ran into him spring of this year. While we was catching up and talking about mutual people I notice he kept referring to some of them as "bammas". nikka you from down here too! Just because you been in Maryland a few years and hide your accent well don't make you better than all Southerners. Felt like some shyt.


It's as if Eastcoast black folks think they're a higher quality than Black People from other places, particularly The South when the fact is racist white people don't look at none of us any different. shyt is what I call Sophisticated c00ning and irritates the hell out me.

It's not like that at all. I'm sorry to hear your city is dull.

It aint the whole East Coast either. It's only Tri-State area, and major cities in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and Maryland. A Cali resident from LA or any of their major cities is elite as well.

For clarification purposes, Atlanta is not our level. But it's cute they doing their thing.

It's not necessarily a black thing, but just northerners in general feel like they're better than southerners. As a Northerner myself whose lived in the South, to me the South was just real slow. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing. I mean up north things move faster. We get the newest technology, latest fashions, app developers and businesses test their markets here, jobs pay more, people speak more proper English, and people from all over the world find their way to NYC, Philly, DC, etc. Outside of real estate and nicer weather, the South don't really got shyt on the North to be honest. The South is more traditional where as the North is always looking to improve and searching for the newest and latest thing.
