I hope y'all not serious including philly as s good city for blacks. Large black population but I wouldn't say it's great
im a jersey breh too..lot of black folks our age are going down to DC/MD

I will prolly move down there too if I don't move to NYC

Yes serious...he said with large black populations...which is only about 5 cities in this country, can't say Philly would be the absolute best option, but if you're looking for a live, easily accessible city with a large black population then yes this could be one of the options :yeshrug:

There are more than just 5 cities with large black populations but Philly is one of them no matter what though.

Niccas and their conversations. I love exchanging ideas, I can't even break bread with these niccas. You love and want the best for your people but damn. Fruitless conversation. I was trying to build with some niccas on investing and these niccas shifted the conversation to the latest episode of POWER :dame:
I can't say this exclusive to the south but I'm imagining that seamless conversation shift :skip:

But then they get scared by the racial politics.

That's the catch! They usually end up moving to other cities where the racial climate is more favorable for Black people.

Your growth outside of work will be limited in Dallas as a Black person. Whereas in a place such as Atlanta, you can experience just as much personal growth outside work as you can inside work by virtue of the Black networks.

Elaborate more please

For one, jobs is scarce. yeah they have unlimited job supply for minimum/slightly above minimum wage jobs and, thankfully, you can afford your own place on that with cost of living being so low. Hell, with a full-time $10-$11/hr job, you could survive comfortably. But I came up here because I want to be a homeowner & my saving goals towards that stretches better than when I was in Miami. Also, I am close to being done with school, I'm looking for a career and that there- is scarce. For my field of major, I was told people are moving out to Texas for it. Doing some digging of my own, I found it to be true.
That there made me kind of resentful of coming to Atlanta instead of Texas because Texas do offer the same benefit as ATL. Low cost of living, low cost to buy homes, spacious land and, unlike ATL, no state tax.

Large Black Population doesnt mean all the black people are doing well. Philly and B More got a ton of blacks and are straight bush status.

ATL is a black city and has been for awhile. It's futile comparing it to Dallas, Houston, Charlotte right now. Those cities have large black populations but the black political/economic structures are decades behind cities like ATL/DC/Philly.

That being said the DFW economy is not going away so as more black folks move here and more cacs flee to the suburbs, there is some serious potential to carve our own niche in this city.
we gotta get DISD back black tho...went to skyline/dville game other weekedn thought it was bryan adams vs molina 02

But that's the cycle. Because of the cheap housing and job market you can't just leave for NY or whatnot.

Yes, I know that miss lol but again, he said a nice city with a black population, which I think Philly has..because I've lived here for my entire life..all of philly isn't bush status and what city doesn't have people that are ready to be thrown in the bushes? Lol

I lived in Boston (Brighton)

That is one of the most boring
And racist major city to live in
Cost and quality of living is fukking horrible

And the weather makes it even worse
I live in the North shore so :yeshrug:
You're from the bean like me okay. What part ? I thougnt about moving but the real estate is too good right now. Plus all the construction and job growth makes it hard to leave. Property value is bananas right now. Im staying put
