why do blacks/mexicans get along in Texas but in Cali they hate each other

Being from Houston, we blacks and Hispanics (because everybody ain't Mexican down here) get along because we practically grow up in the same neighborhood, go to the same schools and eat each others food down here. You'll see black folks fukking with Los Cucos, Chachos and other Hispanic establishments just like you'll see Hispanics at Frenchy's and Triple J's (black restaurants) on the regular.

Plus, we all about making money down here and eating good. No time for beef unless somebody barbecuing or a food truck is on the block.

Don't know what its like in SoCal and Texas, but in Nor*Cal both groups get along. Shyt...most of my friends are Latin and I'm like another member of all there families. I also think the gang culture in LA would have a lot to do with things...but lets be honest...in a cross-cultural neighborhood the blacks would get along with latins more than any other ethnic group cause honestly, Asians, Middle Easterns and even whites have a shyt load of prejudices against blacks. Especially older ones.

My girl is Mexican and I can walk in her parents house down in SD and kick my feet up on her dads coffee table just like I'm one of his sons. yup, Mexicans were here before whites in Texas. Many old, old families. Especially south of I-10. I grew up in a mostly Mexican and black neighborhood. There's a lot more immigration now, legal and illegal. There are tons of Puerto Ricans, Guatamalans and Nicuaraguans mixed in that hispanic population tooLike any peoples, everyone doesn't get along, but there's plenty of intermarrying and living in the same neighborhoods.

and don't sleep at the actual diversity in Texas. The large metros here are among the most diverse in the country. Large Indian, east and southeast Asian, Persian and eastern European immigrant populations. Most people think of Texas as like the deep south, but its culturally and statistically a completely different place.
