They learned about brunch late in life and they see it is a high-class white people thing.:hhh:

I know some black people who think Cheesecake Factory is five-star dining.

Yeah, some black people do act like it's the symbol of 'I have arrived' but it's whatever, as long as it's fun to them, I don't see the harm.

I barely ever woke up in time for 'Brunch' in the states but I went to Red Rocks in DC once when I was in town and it was such a joke.... people packed in like sardines, ordering chicken and waffles pretending like it's the epitome of fine dining when it's really just like two chicken tenders over an eggo....

Now, I have actually had 'high-tea' countless times and prefer it to brunch but that's cause I feel like sometimes the brunch crowd can be overwhelming if it's not at a Michelin star type place - a lot of people doing the most. Best brunch I had in DC was at Blue Duck Tavern.

Black people where i'm temporarily living consider Olive Garden fancy. The closest Cheesecake Factory is in Atlanta. I really need to get out of here.

I went to Red Rocks when I was in DC a few years ago for a day party and it was mad fun. Just a bunch of black folks having a good time, didn't get the bougie, snobby vibe at all.

Brunch itself is cool

Ppl using brunch as a lifestyle/stunting is kind of annoying

This.

nikkas love trying to mimic cac shyt in an effort to project some image of success.

Same with nikkas throwing Kentucky Derby parties. nikkas know two shyts about horse racing, yet are dressing up and throwing Derby parties because it is seen as rich cac fun.

We used to be original with the shyt we did as Black people. Now, it seems we’re always copying cacs.

It's just a fad, "day parties" are beginning to take over the brunch movement really. In my city hood people doing day parties and brunch now, it's not even bougie anymore.
Traveling internationally is not even bougie anymore, hood people on my timeline been in Iceland, Phi Phi Islands, Nice, etc. All kinds of places I KNOW they never heard of 5 yrs ago. :yeshrug:
The alternative is what tho? Black people never leaving the block/city and thinking Red Lobster is the best restaurant on earth?
:snoop:
So I'm not that mad at it

This. Blacks are taking their social cues from White Americans nowadays. Females lead the march into competitive consumerism and now the men (from the nerds to the thugs) are on the "brunch fad" too. Same with travel......cats wanna go to the Eiffel, Japan, etc on some "stunt" shyt - riding in a Spirit Airline airbus. It's all for the gram nowadays. I dont really go to brunch but I've been before. It's piss poor to end your Friday/Saturday night drunk only to wake up and stuff your face with BS the next day (+ more alcohol).

Yeah, some black people do act like it's the symbol of 'I have arrived' but it's whatever, as long as it's fun to them, I don't see the harm.

That's all Black ppL do is HAVE FUN and spend money in OTHER PEOPLE'S ESTABLISHMENTS. :snoop:
This is a feminine-led group headed straight to hell. :sadcam:

Us romantics know brunch is the way to a womans heart.

It's not quite breakfast, it's not quite lunch, but it comes with a slice of canteloupe at the end. You don't get completely what you would at breakfast, but you get a good meal.

I thought of that quote as soon as I clicked the title :russ: Homer almost wound up sharing Marge :wow:
