If your joint paid off and you don’t pay another man to do work on your shyt hold this W,

Don’t understand your argument here:jbhmm:
And I don’t understand how a car with no body damage or rust is a beater or shyt box:jbhmm:

I got the new engine sitting right in my uncle shop right now, just gotta find the time to drop it in.
If your current engine is fine I wouldn’t put the new engine in.

Because your current engine is running fine without problems, if it’s not broke don’t fix it.

Just run the current engine until it’s done, u could put the new engine in and all of a sudden have problems for whatever problems.

"These cars run forever.... if you keep replacing engines and major parts on em :skip:"

Stop it 5!!!!!

*EDIT* I have a 2012 Infiniti with a note.... and I enjoy every minute of it

Pops had a 94 Lexus es300..had 270 something on it when he sold it last year, never touched the engine or trans.

This looks better than a lot of whips on the road right now :yeshrug:

He sold it for $1900, 20+ year old car for damn near 2k. Real nikkas know 90s cars > anything on the road today (in terms of quality/reliability)

Jay lost 92 bricks, @Toyota drives a 92 Camry :wow:
My car so old im exempt from state inspections :wow:

How is it dumb to drop a engine with 60k less miles on it? I got all the tools to drop it in, paid 300 for it. W for me, I’m still going to keep the car as a work joint even if I get something newer

Keep in mind I do construction they send me out 50+ Miles damn near everyday , but beaters drive all over the state of Illinois & Indiana :pachaha:

I did get a flat yesterday tho :dame:

I mean that makes sense for a mechanic with all the tools

What about everybody else... that engine swap would cost thousands of dollars. And the engine in your car is good. You don't know the history of that engine, seems like a waste.
It actually doesn't make sense, mechanics are normally thrifty with their shyt and following the thread dude has spit all of horse shyt, and most of isn't believable.

There are plenty of Toyotas on the road with upwards of 200k on the odometer and they have the original engine in it. This cats car is about to be on it's third engine, because no way the engine currently in it only has 140k and the car is over 25 years old.

This car was an absolute bucket when he bought it, and bringing it back to life doesn't erase it's still a bucket, but he knows how I feel about it....

I'd easily pay a note and take my car in to the dealership for a repair they are paying for than to ride in a damn near 30 year old car as a daily driver, and have to wait for tax time to do repairs like the OP has posted.

A win isn't avoiding paying notes. A win is buying something that runs well when you get it and you don't have to put much of anything to keep it running. Dudes has admitted he's spent more on this car than what it's worth and it wasn't running.

He took an L and made it work because it's the best he can do.

16 year old me buys a couple hundred dollar car, has access to dirt cheap and almost free parts and labor, tools

Over the summer of my junior year, gets car up to near perfect condition. Since then( 3 years ago)I’ve done nothing but basic maintenance(tuneup, brakes, fluid changes etc) except a exhaust repair ($450) and this upcoming engine drop($300). I’ve spent less than 2k outta pocket in 3 years(2k includes the cost of the vehicle too)

I’ll admit, the average breh doesn’t have access to the tools, fully stocked repair shop, parts that I do so even I’d call someone driving a 27 year old whip dumb. But considering my circumstances, W for me.

You gotta give me my props, most brehs nowadays don’t even know to change a tire:yeshrug:

Regarding the low mileage, the original owner was a old polish lady on my uncle block..

I'm not even calling you dumb, other than swapping engines which IS dumb, unless the other one is having issues, but it's obvious from reading the thread you're doing what you can, and you're a hater, and seriously want props for it. I've said from the start, a near 30 year old car will NOT be my daily driver.

But on the real, read every post you've made in here, there's quite a few discrepancies.

I feel your points just don’t call my shyt a bucket cuz it’s not...I’ve shown that through pictures :yeshrug:

2k for damn near 3 years of care free driving? Once again, I took the easy W considering the resources I have at my disposal

I see mfs coming in my uncle shop dropping 4-5k for tranny or engine repairs on cars built within this decade...but you wouldn’t call those cars a bucket :mjlol: shyt my folks just had transmission work under warranty on they Chrysler
