Why do college teams have so much trouble scoring?

For the same reason College Football kickers suck, the quarterbacks throw INTs on the regular, the best lineman destroy everyone and CBs don't even look back for the ball most of the time until they're upperclassmen.

They aren't as good as professionals. :ld:

shyt is terrible to watch. Back in the early to mid 90s teams scored more. UNLV, the fab five, UNC, Georgetown, Uconn and Duke were fun to watch. They seriously need to fix this. Its like watching paint dry at this point.

while you are right, Georgetown do not belong on that list. :heh:

the ACC used to be a very fast league, but now its resembling more Big East and Big 10 ball. :scusthov:

I liked watching AI...the rest of team sucked offensively :manny:
that was just two years, im talking about Joey Brown's 8 years at Georgetown. They never had shooters too

This was going back to the Ewing days.

IMO its mostly because the ability to play zone. Get a team that slows it down on offense, then plays a physical zone defense and you end up with scores of 48-52

zone, lack of guys who can actually create their own shot, coaches micro managing, horrible shooters, full court presses and double teams. YOu rarely see full court press in the nba. Look at teams liek butler and wisconsin games are usually always low scoring because they chew up the shot clock, and the defense they play makes their opponent chew up the shot clock, so like in a full minute if no turnovers your lucky to get 4 points

think of all the teams and players in d1, only like 60 get drafted a year to the nba, and probably only another 100 find employment overseas playing ball.

Heard Gary Williams (I think) say on the radio that since the 3 point line is so close it creates too much traffic in the paint and thats why they have to play so physical. Theres no room to create plays so they just pass around the perimeter until they get an open 3...
