For the most part people date people in the same range of attractiveness as them.. of course there are cases where they don't though. I've definitely seen a lot of cases of average or below average women have extremely outlandish expectations

Honestly, it is due to the fact that it is easier for women to have sex out of their league then it is for men to do it. Due to this being true and getting gassed up on social media, women start to believe they have more market value on the dating market than they truly have so they will find the sex but they will not find the commitment they are seeking from men. They will say their are no good men but good ones who do not fit their looks criteria are invisible to them.
Once that wall hits when they hit their late 20's to early 30s and the attention shifts to younger women, that is when all those standards start to drop.
If you are a young male and u are average and these women are shutting you down, ur best bet is to hit the gym, stay healthy, get a career and dont feel bad for not committing to these women and even leading them on, they had their fun, time to have yours.
Dating wise from 22-25ish, I have done decently but I do find but it is crazy to see the amount of women with no interest of dating men in their looks level.
