Not always, but usually older men are generally more adept at playing the game (better mouth pieces) and better suited to provide financially. A lot of women aren't interested in waiting for you to reach your peak, and aren't willing or don't want to invest. Why date a kid who may/is going to law school when you can date a lawyer who has been there and done that and is now reaping the rewards.

The young guns who werent taken off of the market by a young chick who saw the potential grow older, get wiser and financially secure, and subsequently use their status to procure a young chick. The cycle repeats.
