Why do folks say "white people do it too" when you bring up problems in the BLACK community?

i hate when folks compare us with poor cacs and immigrants. Our history and challenges are NOT the same. NOBODY except for maybe the native americans has been through more hell in this country than black people so why do you have black people comparing our situations to others? Despite all the bullshyt plus road blocks, and concerted efforts to destroy us, we still here making progress.

But but white people and jews were slaves too...

That's why I can't stand when Politicians want to group us up with different races as minorities. It's the biggest scam going. For all we know White women would be considered "minorities"

But I've never blamed any of you for the killing of our brothers. My critique was that anytime we try to have a discussion about crime in the Black community the same arguments keep popping up. Retarded arguments like "We're not the only ones committing crimes!" or "White people do it too" or the WORST one "We commit crimes at equal rates as everyone else" even though that's a damn lie. This shyt isn't about shaming anyone, it's about facing a harsh reality and then taking steps to fix this harsh reality. The excuse people keep coming up with is poverty. But poverty can never be an excuse to harm your fellow Black man or anyone else. I really don't understand how people got so offended in this discussion.

That's the only reason I don't like the talks cause more times than not your (general of course) not talking to people that aren't doing these things. Your talking to cats just like you and if you don't have any real solutions what really makes you think they have them and just ain't using them? It could happen but that's not the case normally.

Poverty can be an excuse even if they still must be punished for their choices. You don't see those that have money committing the same types of violent crimes those with less do. We are all humans so it must be some reason for,the difference and that's a big one. You are speaking from an ignorant high horse perspective on this. It doesn't make it right but I'm not naive either that poverty doesn't have an affect on things folks are doing.

It's a shame. Young Black listeners who are primarily driving the market are turning their backs on r&b music! Usher is supposedly too old and his music too boring, but Justin Timberlake who's around the same age is still going multi-platinum with r&b albums.



If Usher was to put out an album full of songs like that, it would flop. JT goes double platinum and has the best-selling album of the respective year. Timberlake's White fanbase is clearly more loyal and less concerned about age than Usher's Black fanbase. What else could explain this phenomenon?
