Basically, even if you enjoy what you do or find something to enjoy: work just sucks no matter your generation :heh:

Honestly, physical vs mental are different kinds of difficulty. I've worked both about five years.

Trying to get yourself up at 5AM to work the cold ass shipping yard because your company is a hard ass about time takes a lot of mental fortitude. The job don't get any better/worse really: big trucks come in and they got to be loaded/off-loaded. I'll also say you deal with a lot of morons who goof off on the job around equipment and make the job exponentially more dangerous.

Now in my current job as a software engineer I got to do the same kind of willpower push to work on parts of the codebase I don't want to work on, but at least I know the work I'm doing will make the codebase better and easier to work on in the future. There is more responsibility and moving parts though. I'll also say you deal with a lot of morons who think they're smarter than they are and can make your job difficult because their code is horrible as they keep trying to solve problems that aren't there.

I actually do enjoy both jobs as there are positives to both and I do miss some parts of the shipping yard in my current occupation.

When I criticize Boomers, I'm only talking about Cacs. Many Black Boomers were the first ones in their families to go to college, be educated in integrated classes, work alongside cacs and navigate their workplace politics. They made mistakes, but I can't blame them. They were sold lies by everyone around them.

Cac Boomers on the other hand have ruined this country.

A lot of black boomers didn't go to school with whites.

In what world is working on a farm or factory easier than working at home in your pajamas. Am I missing something:skip:

Every generation in America has it easier than the ones before. Young ppl now are just lazy as hell
I think you're confusing boomers with the greatest generation. boomers didnt work in factories or farms like it's was the turn of the century.

Boomers went to college, had gov or corp jobs and were the last generation that actually had salaries that matched the economy, which they fukked over for Subsequent generations

I think with the height of social media, so much media in general, it’s easy for people this generation to feel drowned out

You look back and see this attitude of “I will work hard and change my situation”

Now, it’s hard to see the forest from the trees. Existence for a lot of young people just seems bleak. Survive til tomorrow and hope that if a car hits me it takes me out.

Planet dying, jobs ain’t paying, and these old motherfukkers who got to live their prime years off the fat of the land won’t let anyone but their kids up to do the same

Everyone’s life has a unique set things that make it seem shytty

I've come to realize they think it should be the same as when they came up. They don't want to recognize the change in society. They will die with this culture they built. I'm not going to let it take me out though.

:mjlol: nikka shut up

You sound like my mom when she would swear up and down she exhausted cuz of her 8 hour work day on the computer :mjlol:
Mentally tasking work is way worse than psychical labor. You must have never worked in “corporate America”. Warehouses and all that is mindless work

Alas. The conversation demonstrates why it is so easy to pull the wool over the eyes of some of you stupid mother fukkers.

You can look at the cost of education, the growing gap between the rich and the poor, and the salary in comparison to the cost of living.

Unfortunately all of that goes out the window because people now work at desks and they have mobile phones. It is exactly what they want you to focus on so that they can continue to give you an unfair slice of the pie.
