Memphis gave him a max deal?! TWO teams thought he was max worthy? Even with the raising cap that's not getting him at a premium or anything.

Meanwhile Jeremy Lin, Al Horford, Evan Turner and D-12 are making less.

Because he's a good player. He can shoot and defend threes and those players are at a premium in todays NBA.

Great signing for Memphis, especially since they got him on a 4 year deal. His max isn't that bad anyway, it's the Conley max that's bad - 5 years max with max raises (7.5 %) and him being in the league for nine seasons puts him in the 7-9 experience category which makes his max 30 % of the salary cap.

Parsons got 90 something mill for 4 years, that's a good contract for him if he can stay healthy. Not only the years is different, but since Parsons has only been in the league for 5 years his max is only 25 % of the salary cap and that's the lowest max a player can get...

What has he done last season?
In 61 games last season coming off microfracture surgery he has his best shooting year from the field and had a decent season. No reason he cant get back to the 17 6 and 4 level he was at a couple of years ago.
