It's becuase Puerto Rico spent years promoting white or near white people. That Puerto Rican rapper tego Calderon said himself that Afro Latinas in pr were treated like shyt and that it's Afro latina there that embrace their blackness. So when we americans see latinas we think of the white or near white ones. That's something you should take up with the ligher " elites" of the country promoting white supremacy.

I do embrace my blackness (as I have stated multiple times throughout the thread) but it's blatantly obvious and unavoidable from my appearance that I am a black person.
