Why Do I Feel Like My Coworkers Are Trying To Get Me Fired?

I hear from my supervisor that some of the Team Leaders have been telling him that I'm moving at a slow pace, and taking my time, which I haven't been, I bust my ass and even if I was then why are you telling our supervisor and not me, since you're my Team Leader. I swear that hoe shyt gets me

I tell my coworker, the dude that also trained me and he tells me people have been coming to him saying that it looks like I don't care about working. He told them that I'm just a very calm guy, and if they needed approach me with the issue then they could.

I haven't been approached yet

I'm thinking about going to my supervisor and telling him to tell anyone who has a complaint against me to approach me directly, instead of going behind my back, since it causes tension, although they're reporting this anonymously.

shyts annoying, if you're in charge of the zone and you can't address a person, then you're not a leader, you're a chump.

Any of y'all had some people try to play with your livelihood/money?

I had some people try to get fired at my current job because they didn't like me when I first started. If you're doing your job there's really nothing they can do that can build a case against you. I wouldn't react too heavily about it.

Ask for some written standards about work you're supposed to do. Like how much work do they expect you to do in a certain amount of them. That way you have some concrete standards to work with and no one can say you're not doing your job.

Basically get what's expected of you and what you'd be evaluated on for raises and such in writing.

I feel you on the bolded. Some people just don't like it and takes it some kind of way when a black person styles/accels on them at their job and is doing their own thing without attempting to be apart of that "work circle" ("why isn't he/she a team player?")...especially if you're one of the few black males there in a predominantly white working environment. They already kind of see our ilk as intimidating so they take it real personal and get real insecure cause hey have the posture themselves in a certain way where they work hard to not offend...but they're also trying to posture you in a way that's sort of submissive and toning...

I would, but I know I'm doing my job, and example of me busting my ass, yesterday me and a new hire, brought in a plane, unloaded it, took the passengers off, gave them their luggage, and then dropped the rest of the checked in bags off. 2 people, we did a 4/5 person job.

Some people I think have caught feelings, because my superiors like me. I speak German and our Boss is German, I read during my lunch, I'm fit, people tell me I'm smart, and the dude that hired me said I'm a leader. Plus I come off as educated, but nice.


And I'm the only Black male and tall, and I don't kiss ass.

And that submitting part, I really think that's it, it's weird.

I was rocking my beard out a little towards the end of the week because I wanted the beard when I went out for the weekend. Nobody was trippin. I hear my boss, who was on his day off, got multiple emails from people telling him about my shyt and how I have to shave. Now wouldn't it be easier to come up to me directly? The fukk It's not a problem, I just didn't like the cowardness of how people went about it. That just happened last week, only the tip of the iceberg.
