The friend zone is not a healthy friendship. The friend zone only exists when someone wants more. They are in a zone/situation/category that they want to get out of.
A healthy friendship is one where both people are content with the situation.
It's uncomfortable to have someone want more than you are willing to give them. You feel pressured and because you are friends and care about the other person, you don't want to play with their emotions.
