Encore still sucks though. Even the better tracks on there are lyrically some of his weakest work.
I don't think Em has completely fallen off, he can still come up with smart lyrics and good songs. His delivery isn't as good as it used to be, but he still has flashes of his former self. Sonically he makes some real garbage sometimes. But MMLP2 sounds the most like an Eminem album since anything he's released since 2003 (Encore, Recovery, Relapse, Hell The Sequel did not sound at all like vintage Em).
Nas can still spit too, but I personally don't care for LIG at all. I know I'm in the minority there though. It doesn't sound like typical Nas to me, not enough street shyt. Too many Daughters, Bye Baby, Cherry Wine, Summer on Smash, Reach Out, You Wouldn't Understand type shyt, not enough Loco-motive type songs. But I guess I shouldn't be surprised at Nas making softer songs with the way the rap game is these days.
Untitled is just as bad as Encore imo - content wise it's not, but sonically that album is seriously horrible. The production completely kills it, and I personally feel like Nas is all over the place on that album. Like he didn't know what direction to go with it. And again that album doesn't sound like vintage Nas to me. Untitled is a garbage album imo, and I know some other people think it's great - but I don't know what they see in it.
Street's Disciple was not a good album either. Too many kelis/love garbage tracks. Although it could've been good if it was cut down to 12 tracks or so. HHID was a pretty solid album imo, and actually sounded like a Nas album to me. Imo, he's only hit on 1 out of his last 4 albums (and LIG wasn't one), 2 out of 5 if we include Distant Relatives, so I can't agree that he hasn't fallen off at all. To me Nas and Em have fallen of about the same. Em can still spit, but he can't really make good music anymore. Nas can still spit, and he can make songs that musically sound better than Em's stuff, but I think his album direction and overall style has been lacking.
Maybe I'm bias with Em (although Nas and Em are my top 2 rappers), but I don't agree with your post.eminem has fallen completely off, jay and nas havent.... well jay has a bit. hes just run out of things to talk about, and he was never the most creative MC so.... Nas last album is one of his best IMO. neither jay or em can say that.

I like them both albums but neither will be sitting at the top half of their catalogs, i'd rate them about the same. And I like both of those more than LIG to be honest, that album started off nice but it didn't stick, all 3 of their last projects have been kinda on the fence.
