Post 2 or 3 beats of producers who have 100's brehs :francis:

Of course producers are going to have some beats that sound similar when THEY created the sound. Those same producers STILL had diverse beats for the various artists they worked with. No way in hell can you say albums like Liquid Swords sound like OBFCL or Ironman. And also the problem isn't just the producers...it's the artists and radio releasing and playing songs that sound ALL the same. I produce as well and cats will say I have a signature sound but as the producer you have plenty of ways to make the sound diverse. stupid thread :camby:

And then which of those RZA beats even if they sounded similar to each other sound like even one other producer's work?
A producer having a signature sound isn't the issue here.
I would have no idea who produced a song today without a drop or seeing a credit

I'm not really seeing it.

Next you're gonna tell me that all neptunes beats sound the same :dame:
lol they do (not all)

now i like all 4 of these songs a lot but theres a clear similarity in the sound of them. Just like Primo tracks you can pretty much hear a lot of the same in each track even if the melody is different the sounds being used are the same.

only producer who sounds anywhere similar to RZA is maybe Muggs..and some Kanye stuff because he actually went out of his way to use RZA's sound....RZA's sound is def his own.

oh yeah nobody sounds like Neptunes...i might not have fully read your post or the OP. RZA, Neptunes def sound like no one else. I was more saying their own beats all sound similar. Same with Primo but Primo has a lot of biters out there so his style could be more comparable to others in some ways.

Most producers have a specific sound. It becomes wack when your sound is the same as everyone else's.

NYC had a lot of variety in its sound. Mobb Deep, MOP, ACTQ, EPMD, Wu Tang, Pete Rock and CL Smooth, De La Soul, DITC, Onyx, Public Enemy, sounded nothing a like.

It's worse now with all these wack ass trap beats. shyt reminds of me commercialized Reggaeton and Baile Funk. But they have an excuse because their shyt is mostly for partying. Hip Hop/Rap is more than that.

truth thats a real problem today...not even that everyone bites the same sound, but that the radio/labels wont promote anything else. we all know there are varied sounds in hiphop but they dont want the masses to know this.
