(1) Because it something that we cannot observe in our lifetime...As far as higher animals are concerned...To see the changes our environment is having on us will take 100s of thousands of years...

Nobody alive today will be around to witness it...

(2) There are different theories of evolution...People have trouble accepting the theory that proposes that we all came from a single source...I have studied biology, and I have always had a problem with that theory...

I am still not convinced that people left Africa and became Europeans, Asians and etc...Mainly because the scientists proposing this theory have not been able to demonstrate the mechanism of this transformation...

Think about this, the Inuit people living in the most Northern parts of Canada, were there is barely any sunlight, look Asian with brown skin...They have been there for 1000s of years, how come some of them are not blond hair blue eyes with thin noses and thin hair...?

Scientists often use the "it's evolution and natural selection" excuse but they don't explain the mechanisms that are making this changes occur...

For example, if you take 10000 of the most genetically pure dark skin people, and you place them in Scandinavia, how are they going to become blond haired and blue eyed?

when it convinces the vast, vast majority of biologists in the world
The problem is using "Darwin" and not just evolution.

Darwin, in the context of history, didn't really know shyt compared to what we know now...but people put the man above the man's work, so anyone who talks down on evolution thinks we submit to the guy himself.

true..but he did really originate natural selection....evolution was a well known fact at the time even before darwin...natural selection is what he was famous for

i think many black people deny evolution because they think darwin ushered it in as a a sort of white supremacy idea

well...its overall still really sensitive because people equate the lack of African continental development with intellectual inferiority and not economic and political abuse.

Not every black person thinks the same way fam, but I guess there is some sort of unease when it comes to accepting these ideas alleged implications on race, so for some people it feels better just to dismiss the entire concept.

In 2015 evolution would not change dark Africans to Europeans because there is nothing to kill off the darkest and promote the survival of the lighter ones.

Evolution doesn't change the living man to another form, it means his offspring will do better or worse depending on their features. If tall is better then the taller kids do better and have more offspring. If short is better then it goes the other way. Nowadays even people who can't care for themselves survive and sometimes reproduce. Evolution is stalled because of technology.

Race is magical. Scientists cannot explain it, but the ancients KNEW.

:whoa:Ignore the fact that race among humans is just another example of simple biological diversity found all throughout nature.

Don't just jump to conclusions like that. He never even mentioned god or religion or anything. I think its a fair question to ask; he even gave an example to support his reasoning :ehh:

Natural selection is only part of the story. Eventually we'll discover that all gene mutations are not "random" and can occur in response to environmental stimuli, and even as a result of biochemical responses to thoughts and emotions.
