Plenty of normal people start cults.

Many of these people create them for positive reasons.

They just aren't called "cults" tho. We call them clubs, frats, sororities, tribes, organizations, the military, etc.

You do have to be on another level to start a cult though, which most crazy people are.

Cult is just short for culture. The company you work for probably has cult like attributes. Religions are cults. At least many started out that way. Not are all cults dangerous. Some are fairly benign. And Brainwashing isn't always a bad thing imo.
