Why Do People Act Like Their So Above Their Emotions?....

All humans have emotions the issue is with men we are supposed to control and channel our emotions. I channel mines fairly well but I have my weakness like anyone else.

I meet alotta females who say they don’t like “emotional men”, but I can be sporadic and emotional and they LOVE it. Im never “boring”. Yet they claim they don’t want men w emotions (like men aren’t allowed to have emotions).

My issue is that with my emotions I go on two extremes I either shut down & retreat or blow up and get violent

And as a grown man I can’t afford to blow up and be violent all the time

I’ve talked on here about my road rage and anger episodes & lowkey I feel ashamed of it cuz as a grown man I cant afford to blow up like a kid all the time

And most people know me as a cool as a fan type dude.

Hell Mike Tyson was extremely emotional and I doubt most people who spout that shyt would say that to his face or call him soft/feminine lol

I feel like a lotta people who act like their above their emotions all the time are trying too hard to seem tough

And truth be told are the most deep feeling people

And “non emotional” people are really boring in my experience

I cant stand my emotions... Like I genuinely wish I could flip a switch and turn them off completely....Like I could be angry or upset about some shyt... But when I break it down, I realize I got no reason to be angry or upset

Also emotions are temporary.... You could be angry right now but youre not gonna be angry tomorrow

I used to be quick to curse somebody out and always endin up tryna patch things up later on.... I used to verbally violate chicks... Sayin all types of foul shyt outta emotion.... I've had some older folks pull me to the side and check me on that type of shyt cause they would hear me talkin on the phone sometimes..... Now I dont do that shyt anymore... Been a couple years now.

Also with women....i realized both of us cant be emotional..... You not gonna beat a woman in the arena of emotion.... Even if youre emotional - you just gotta understand the woman is always gonna be emotional and retarded and tryna get you in your feelings to get a reaction.... One of y'all gotta be remaining solid and not gettin lost in emotion

To give off the image that they are strong. People hate being vulnerable as well as acknowledging and expressing their feelings due to fears of being perceived as weak or fear of being hurt. A lot of times people who are not about that emotional game have a lot of pent up trauma and pain they have not addressed, sometimes without realizing it. Our experiences can turn us cold.

I find that mostly with hypersensitive people.

Not assigning any gender to it and not judging, but it’s an odd defense mechanism. And the people that do it, I always look at them like. Cuz it comes off totally contrary to who they truly are.

Yeah I don't like it either. If I'm reading OP right he's not talking about people who are extremely unstable emotionally and let their emotions constantly get the best of them.

He's talking about why emotions are seen as weak or something that holds people back. We're all human and emotions are a fundamental part of our existence

As the OP said, it's all about channeling and controlling your emotions. You do that and you'll realize just how actually strong emotions can make someone
