Because women are materialistic.

Bingo. Plus it's a status symbol. Driving a nice car gives off the illusion that you have money and take care of your finances which in turn might lead some women to believe that you will take care of them.

But of course we all know that's not true. A good percentage of the time, because guys will be flossing around in a car that they can't afford.
