why do people buy CONSOLES online instead of instore?

Noticed today amazon messed up xbox one x orders and a lot of people won't get their xbox until tomorrow. some even later. so why not just get it from the store? you get to have it at 12am, and you don't have to wait around for it to be delivered.

To be fair only time i ever bought a console from amazon was the PS4. I made sure that required a signature. I missed the shipment cause i was at work and it was re routed to a local amazon pick up. Went there showed them my id and i was good to go.


For small stuff yea they just leave that shyt in front of my door. I doubt people are gonna steal a 10 pack of socks and a cpu cooler. Lol. But you can make any package require a signature no matter how big or small.

Also the one time i did get my package stolen they refunded me in amazon credit right then and there and gave me free one day shipping. The fukked up part is i actually didn't get it stolen. My neighbor picked it up for me and gave it to me the next day. Obviously i didn't tell Amazon about it.

Im sure u cant od with calling in saying your shyt got stolen. But if it genuinely happens they fix that shyt right then and there. Just make sure you buy from amazon directly. Or from their warehouse. When u buy from 3rd parties it gets a little messy when u need a refund.

But yea the sheer ease of use. Online tracking from your phone and no hassle is the reason i choose Amazon over going to stores.. I literally only go to the store for food/clothes shopping at this point.
