Legit questions: what does J. Cole do better than his contemporaries?

Do you actually think he's "lyrical" or are you just jumping on a bandwagon because he can sell some records and you just have to be part of the moment? :dame:
I love how nobody can really answer these, by the way :laff:

:whoa: leave Future out of this....

I don't find J. Cole boring myself, I can relate to about 80% of the shyt he's talking about which is more than most rappers...

But I can understand why others see him as boring and I'm glad he doesn't change to appeal to those people.

I respect the fact he doesn't TRY to be extra cool or to be liked by everybody, he doesn't go to or use other artists for features, vibes, waves.....

If being "boring" allows him to sell more than 97% of other rappers, doesn't have him caught in drama, lawsuits or bad press. and he probably makes more profits off his own projects than any other mainstream artist (Production, Publishing, Touring) What's wrong with that?

And lastly, if J. Cole is boring and basic. Why aren't there 100s of J. Coles in the game? How hard is it to be a boring rapper? :ld:
