I notice when Americans vacation they choose to stay in the most expensive area on top of the most well known Landmark. Do your research you don’t have to sleep in Big Ben. Everything around there is going to be hella expensive and watered down.

Facts. I think for a lot of people it's about being able to say they were there, take the right pictures and buy the souvenirs. And stay within these international tourist areas where they feel safe and things are catered towards tourists. Usual American in Paris circuit is Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Champs-Elysées, Disneyland and Montmartre. Then they complain that everything's overcrowded and expensive lol.

A lot of the places on the Med are incredible. The Alps are beautiful. Great cities like Paris, London, Barcelona etc.

Going to a random neighbourhood in Poland then thinking all of Europe is like that is like a white dude going to the hood in Mississippi and wondering why America has so many tourists. People just gotta stay in their lane. Same as anywhere else in the world.
